Implementasi Program Kampus Mengajar di SD Negeri Maccini Sombala Makassar
Abstract
The Kampus Mengajar Program is an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology aimed at improving literacy and numeracy skills among elementary school students while providing teaching experience for university students. This program was implemented at SD Negeri Maccini Sombala Makassar, a suburban school whose students mostly come from low-income families. The implementation methods included teaching assistance, remedial reading-writing-arithmetic lessons, handwashing with soap (CTPS) awareness, class-based Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM), student leadership training, and library improvement. The results indicated improved reading and arithmetic skills, the establishment of hygiene habits, increased reading interest through a better-organized library, and strengthened student leadership character. Evaluation was conducted through direct observation, skill testing, and evaluative discussions with teachers. This program demonstrates that a holistic approach integrating academic support, character building, health promotion, and facility improvement can generate positive impacts and is potentially replicable in elementary schools with similar conditions.
